Nordana improves frequency and transit time Nordana Line is making plans to improve market coverage, frequency and transit on its fixed-day weekly departures from Italy, France and Spain into all the Caribbean Islands as well as Venezuela, Colombia and Panama. The new enhanced service will begin around January of 2001, giving Nordana one of the fastest and most frequent direct services in the trade lane. In combination with the existing weekly container service between the U.S. Gulf and Mexico into Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and Venezuela, shippers will benefit from the improvement of efficiency and the extended coverage of the entire Caribbean basin. This change will not interfere with the established, bi-weekly project and roll-on/roll-off (RO/RO) service offered by Nordana Line, linking the Mediterranean with the Caribbean/Central America and returns via the U.S. Gulf and East Coasts into the complete Mediterranean scope including North Africa. This service deploys five self-sustained RO/RO vessels, accommodating heavy lift, break bulk, RO/RO and containers. Nordana Line will also continue to offer every 8 to 9 days RO/RO and break bulk service from Houston into Panama, Colombia and four ports in Venezuela For information call 877-NOR-LINE. |
