Diesel Price Drops by 3.8 Cents For the week beginning Feb. 19, the national average price per gallon of diesel fuel was $1.480 — a 3.8-cent drop from the Feb. 12 price of $1.518—according to the Energy Information Administration. This is the lowest national average price seen since August 2000. Prices for each region are shown below.
